I've been trying to learn everything I can about social media marketing, and see how I can use it to benefit my company, and hypothetically to help our business grow even more. TeleDirect has been one of the fastest growing businesses in Sacramento, CA for the last five years. I'd love to see six, seven, eight, all the way to ten. But that is difficult to accomplish. Hopefully by networking and becoming a true partner with the people that I network with I can leverage all of the new things that I learn to help grow our business.
I've been blogging regularly for TeleDirect for a full month. It's hard to say if anyone is visiting it or even reading it, but it's important I think to make our SEO marketing even more valuable, and then people will read it, and know that this is the place to go to find the answers they need to answer their questions.
I'm also using Twitter and answering questions on LinkedIn. There are other professionals who are selling their services who could be a great fit for TeleDirect, and the key is to find them and find out what information is needed to make sure that we work together efficiently.

PRDMC Rocked!
I traveled to San Diego this week to represent my company, TeleDirect Call Centers, as a sponsor at this year's PRDMC. One thing I learned is that no matter how much I learn about marketing, there's always more to learn.
I enjoyed Penelope Burk's Fearless Fundraising parts 1 and 2. The whole concept that you have to give people what they need from their gift to you is part and parcel of the concept that nothing is truly free. People want to support charities, but they also want to know that their money has gone to a good cause, and is being used properly. Certainly if they can't know that with any certainty they may give again, or continue giving for a time, but at some point their trust could be fully violated and when that happens, is it even possible to get that back?
I made a lot new contacts, including DEI's CFO Stacy Stang and Jay Clayton who is been called the "pledge guru." People I am confident will help me to learn about public radio and how to help my clients and potential clients.
I'm certainly looking forward to going again. Fort Worth -- here we come!
